A representative species of a slender-toed gecko genus.
Hemiphyllodactylus — From Greek hemi- (“half”), phyllon (φύλλον), “leaf,” and dactylos (δάκτυλος), “finger.” Refers to the leaf-like, flattened digits that lack full adhesive pads—literally “half-leaf finger.”
